Description
Pain, whose true name is Nagato, is a major antagonist in Naruto Shippuden and the public leader of the Akatsuki organization. He was born in the war-torn Amegakure, the Hidden Rain Village, and was orphaned as a young child during the Second Shinobi World War when his parents were killed by Konoha ninja. This tragedy triggered the first manifestation of his Rinnegan, a legendary eye technique. Unknown to Nagato, these eyes had been implanted in him years earlier by Madara Uchiha as part of a long-term scheme.
