Nanako Hasaba and her twin sister Mimiko faced relentless persecution as children after villagers imprisoned them, scapegoating the pair for unexplained deaths plaguing their community. Their suffering caught the attention of jujutsu sorcerer Suguru Geto, who slaughtered their captors and rescued the twins, an act that reshaped his ideology and forged their unshakable allegiance to him.
As an adult, Nanako embraced a kogal-inspired aesthetic: caramel-streaked hair swept into a high bun, a sailor-style school uniform in later years, and signature accessories such as white legwarmers. Her cursed technique centered on a cellphone camera, allowing her to manipulate and teleport photographed subjects, though channeling this power on herself inflicted severe physical strain.
After Geto’s death, the twins discovered his corpse had been hijacked by the ancient curse Kenjaku. Resolved to retrieve his remains, they bargained with Yuji Itadori using one of Sukuna’s fingers. When Sukuna—housed in Yuji’s body—spurned their request and murdered Mimiko, Nanako confronted Sukuna in a vengeful outburst, only to be slain moments later, extinguishing their mission to honor Geto.
Their story embodied a tangled web of devotion and calamity, their choices eternally bound to Geto’s influence. Their demise exposed the perilous stakes of jujutsu power struggles, positioning them as pivotal figures in escalating conflicts that rippled through the supernatural world.
