Description
Komichi Akebi enters Roubai Girls' Academy as a first-year, following her mother Yuwa's legacy at this elite all-girls school. Raised remotely as her elementary school's sole student, she arrives with no prior childhood friendships and limited social skills, fueling an intense desire to experience school life and make friends.
A lifelong fascination with sailor uniforms, ignited by idol Miki Fukumoto's water bottle ad and her mother's old Roubai uniform, led Komichi to request an identical handmade sailor outfit from Yuwa. At Roubai, she discovers the dress code has shifted to blazers, making her the only student in traditional sailor attire—an exception granted by the principal due to its historical significance.
Komichi possesses a bright, energetic, and straightforward personality. Her isolated upbringing results in kindness coupled with a lack of awareness of typical social norms. Academically strong, she ranks among her class's top students and demonstrates exceptional athleticism in gymnastics, barefoot running, swimming, karate, and judo. However, she struggles profoundly with cooking, often producing inedible results. She exhibits comfort and interest in animals and nature, readily handling wildlife like frogs or snakes.
She lives with her family: mother Yuwa (a Roubai alumna and homemaker), father Sato (often away for work), and younger sister Kao (an elementary student). Her cherished personal item is "Swordy," a stuffed swordfish crafted by her mother after an aquarium visit.
Throughout her time at Roubai, Komichi actively pursues friendships, forming close bonds with Erika Kizaki (her first and closest friend), Toko Usagihara, and Tomono Kojou. She joins the drama club and participates in school activities. Her development involves learning social nuances while retaining genuine enthusiasm, assisting classmates like Ayumi Togeguchi with anxiety, and fulfilling her goal of experiencing adolescence through studying, club participation, and everyday interactions.
