Description
Ban Yamano is the central protagonist of the anime Danbōru Senki W, having previously held the same role in the first Danbōru Senki series. At the start of W, Ban is fourteen years old and has already become a celebrated figure in the LBX battling world, holding titles such as the champion of the Ungra Visidas tournament, the Artemis tournament, and the Akihabara Kingdom tournament. His success has earned him the nickname the Miraculous Supernova. In appearance, Ban has grown taller since the first series, with his brown curly hair growing out longer. He typically wears a yellow t-shirt with thick black lining, covered by a red hooded jacket, paired with navy green shorts and red and white sports sneakers.
Ban is characterized by his friendly, cheerful, and highly sociable nature, combined with a deep-seated sense of justice. He is unable to forgive those who misuse LBXs to harm others. While he was more hot-blooded in the first series, by the events of W his personality has become noticeably more mature and calm. He retains his passionate love for LBXs, which he has had since childhood, and his primary weapon of choice continues to be a lance and shield combination, a style reminiscent of a paladin. His main motivation stems from a desire to protect the world from those who would weaponize LBX technology, a mission he inherited after foiling the plans of the Innovator organization in the previous series. He is also driven to live up to the legacy of his father, Junichiro Yamano, the original inventor of the LBX.
