TV-Series
Description
Pierrette is a character in the anime Ginga Patrol PJ who holds the highest political office among the protagonists. She is the President of the Omega Confederation, the democratic alliance of planets that includes Earth, and she chairs the Confederation's governing council. In the story, she is the wife of Colonel Pierre, the commander of the Omega Space Police, and the mother of Pierrot, a young patrol officer whose adventures drive much of the series.

In appearance, Pierrette is a woman with orange hair and dark eyes, generally shown in a composed and dignified manner. Her personality is defined by calmness and reason. She is a smiling figure and a highly skilled politician who governs by building consensus among the council members rather than by issuing commands. Within the Council she acts as the voice of reason, and she behaves with prudence even when the galaxy's major powers are in open confrontation. Her leadership style is diplomatic by preference, but she is also willing to shift between diplomacy and intimidation when dealing with difficult leaders. This is most visible in her dealings with General Le Teigneux, the aggressive military leader of the Cassiopeia Republic, whom she must work hard to keep in check in order to prevent a full-scale war.

Pierrette's motivations are rooted in protecting the peace, stability, and safety of the Confederation and the people living under it. As the supreme leader of the heroes' side, she is the one who must manage the tensions among the Omega Confederation, the militaristic Cassiopeia Republic, and the powerful supercomputer that commands an army of robots. Her role in the story is that of a central authority figure who handles the larger strategic picture, while her son Pierrot and his friend Psi carry out the frontline missions. Her position also reinforces the series' egalitarian message, since the highest leader of the protagonists is a woman.

Her key relationships are both familial and political. With Colonel Pierre she shares a happy marriage, and the two operate in separate but complementary spheres: he as head of the space police and she as head of the Confederation. As Pierrot's mother, she connects the personal side of the story to its central adventures, especially when her son chooses to join the Space Police after finishing his studies. With the other Council members she works as a consensus-builder, while with figures such as General Le Teigneux she must continually negotiate to preserve peace.

Pierrette does not undergo a major personal transformation across the series. She serves as a steady and reliable authority figure whose diplomatic skills are tested as crises escalate, and she remains consistent throughout: sensible, balanced, and committed to resolving conflicts without resorting to destructive force. Her notable abilities are political rather than physical. She excels at reading difficult personalities, building agreement among diverse member worlds, balancing firmness with conciliation, and making strategic decisions under pressure. Through these skills, she holds the Confederation together in a galaxy threatened by militarism and rogue machines.
