Description
Kurusu is one of the main characters in Guardian Hearts. She is an alien who comes from a planet where her people can manifest the skills and powers associated with whatever clothing they wear, usually uniforms. Because of this trait, she is perpetually seen in cosplay, switching outfits to access different abilities. Upon arriving on Earth, she encounters Kazuya Watari and falls in love with him instantly. She tries to confess her true identity and feelings to him at their very first meeting, but the conversation is interrupted by the heroine Guardian Heart. That interruption fuels a lasting resentment; she hates Guardian Heart for ruining her moment and for repeatedly getting in the way of her romantic advances.
Kurusu ends up living in Kazuya's household alongside several other girls who have likewise had their secrets discovered by him. Her primary motivation is to grow closer to Kazuya and win his affection. To that end, she directs much of her frustration toward Guardian Heart. She soon bonds with Maya and Chelsea, two fellow housemates who also blame the guardian for interfering in their relationships with Kazuya. The three become close friends and plot revenge, believing that Guardian Heart appears whenever Kazuya is getting along with a girl. In a twist of dramatic irony, they befriend Hina never knowing that Hina is the very Guardian Heart they despise. Their schemes include leaving Hina and Kazuya alone together in hopes of drawing the guardian out, a plan that generates comedic misunderstandings as the story unfolds.
