Description
Farah Oersted is a 17-year-old resident of the village of Rasheans on the world of Inferia. She grew up as a childhood friend of Reid Hershel and Keele Zeibel, working as a farm girl who also became skilled in cooking. She is the daughter of Norris Oersted, who served as the village elder during her childhood.

Physically, Farah is a strong and athletic young woman. She trained in martial arts at the Regulus Dojo, which she entered after a traumatic event in her past. This training gave her formidable combat abilities that can overpower even larger opponents.

Farah's personality is defined by her high energy, strong sense of justice, and tendency to act on impulse. She is the type of person who cannot ignore someone in trouble and will rush to help without hesitation, sometimes without fully thinking through the consequences. This enthusiasm makes her a natural leader who often pushes the group forward when others are hesitant. She is generally cheerful and optimistic, serving as a source of energy for those around her.

However, beneath this bright exterior lies a deep and painful guilt. When she was younger, Farah stole the key to the Regulus Knoll, a sealed area her father was responsible for guarding. She convinced Reid and Keele to explore the knoll with her in search of pretty stones she called star fragments. During their exploration, an ancient evil named Nereid was released from its seal. Norris Oersted entered the knoll to retrieve the children and was killed by the creature's power. The resulting disaster caused widespread destruction in Rasheans, taking the lives of many villagers including Reid's parents. Farah has always believed this tragedy was entirely her fault.

This event became the central motivation for her actions. Feeling she must atone for the lives lost that day, Farah dedicated herself to helping others without regard for her own safety. She entered the monastery at Regulus Dojo seeking a path to redemption through rigorous physical discipline. Although she eventually returned to village life, the guilt never left her, and it fuels her determination to protect those in need.

When the Celestian girl Meredy crash-lands near Rasheans, Farah is instantly curious and determined to help her, even though they cannot understand each other's language. When the village elder blames Farah and the stranger for bringing disaster to the village again, Farah accepts exile rather than abandon Meredy. Reid joins them, and Farah takes the lead in deciding to travel to Mintche University to seek Keele's help with translation. Throughout the journey to prevent the Grand Fall, the impending collision of Inferia and Celestia, Farah acts as the driving force that keeps the group united and moving forward.

Farah shares a close bond with Reid. They have lived together in Rasheans since childhood, relying on each other after both lost their parents in the Regulus Knoll disaster. While Reid tends to be lazy and reluctant to take action, Farah is the one who pushes him to join the adventure. Their relationship carries an undercurrent of romantic tension, as they grow closer over the course of the journey. She also values Keele as an old friend, though she often finds his intellectual arrogance frustrating.

Her relationship with Meredy evolves from one of pure protector and helper to a deep friendship. Farah's willingness to stand up for Meredy when no one else would forms the foundation of their trust in one another. She also has connections to the monks at Regulus Dojo, including a fellow student named Paollo who developed feelings for her.

Farah undergoes significant character development. Early in the story, her guilt drives her to a reckless form of self-sacrifice, as she feels she does not deserve happiness. Over time, through Reid's encouragement and the support of her companions, she begins to confront her past. She learns that the release of Nereid was not actually caused by the children's actions, though this knowledge does not erase her guilt entirely. Instead, she gradually comes to accept that her determination to help others can be a positive force rather than simply a form of punishment. By facing her trauma, she grows stronger and more confident in her own worth.

In combat, Farah fights with her fists and feet, using knuckles as her primary weapon. Her martial arts training at Regulus Dojo allows her to chain together different categories of attacks, including ground strikes, anti-air moves, aerial attacks, and powerful finishing blows. She possesses a unique combo system that lets her flow between these different attack types in sequence. Beyond her offensive capabilities, Farah can also use healing techniques such as Healing Balls, drawing upon her chi to restore herself and her allies. Her physical strength is notable, even exceeding Reid's power in some respects. However, her close-range fighting style and lack of defensive equipment mean she must rely on her speed and healing abilities to survive in battle.
