Description
Ludwin Arcs is a tall, handsome man around thirty years old with long straight blonde hair, blue eyes, and a sturdy build, typically seen wearing fluted armor as part of the Royal Guard. Intelligent and charismatic, he maintains a simplistic lifestyle despite his noble status, partly to financially support his childhood friend Genia Maxwell and partly due to personal preference.

He is the last member of House Arcs, which rules a fiefdom between Parnam and Venetinova and patronizes the Maxwell House. His parents died some time ago, leaving him and Genia to view each other as their only remaining family. Initially serving as leader of the Royal Guard and acting commander of the Forbidden Army, he quickly aligned with Kazuya Souma after the latter assumed the throne, supporting his reforms. During this period, he assessed Aisha Udgard’s capabilities, assigning her as Kazuya’s bodyguard after her performance at the Gathering of Personnel.

Ludwin played a critical military role during the One Week War, acting as commanding officer against Georg Carmine’s rebellion and the Amidonian invasion. His effectiveness led to his appointment as second-in-command of the National Defense Force under Excel Walter, with the understanding he would gain experience to eventually lead. He later served as acting commander during the Friedonian expedition to aid the Union of Eastern Nations, collaborating with former adversary Julius Amidonia.

He facilitated Kazuya’s introduction to Genia Maxwell, an eccentric researcher whose work he believed vital to the kingdom. Despite initial embarrassment, Ludwin and Genia married on the same day as Kazuya’s coronation and wedding, though the impact on their houses’ patronage contract remains unclear. Their relationship faces interruptions from Trill Euphoria’s obsession with Genia. Off-duty, Ludwin observes Genia’s research with Souji Lester, occasionally becoming a test subject.

As a military leader, Ludwin achieved victories against Georg Carmine, Gaius Amidonia, and demon forces, relying on subordinates like Kaede Foxia and Halbert Magna. He is a skilled combatant, capable of matching Aisha Udgard in combat during their initial encounter, and possesses engineering knowledge.
