Rikiya Yotsubashi, known as Re-Destro, stands at the heart of clashes between villain factions. Descended from Destro, founder of the Meta Liberation Army, he upholds his ancestor’s mission to create a society free from Quirk restrictions. Destro’s manifestos shape his worldview, binding him to a hereditary crusade for ideological dominance. Publicly, Re-Destro leads Detnerat, a corporation crafting Quirk-enhancing gear, while secretly commanding the revived Meta Liberation Army as Grand Commander. This duality lets him covertly spread Destro’s doctrine, purging opposition ruthlessly—even executing a subordinate who denounced Destro’s philosophy. His Stress Quirk transforms emotional strain into raw physical might, escalating attributes like strength and speed. At 80% Liberation, his body swells with destructive power, augmented by tactical limb expansion and energy bursts. The Claustro armor further amplified these abilities until its destruction during his clash with Tomura Shigaraki. Re-Destro instigated conflict with the League of Villains by capturing Giran, luring them to Deika City. Initially overpowering Tomura, his overconfidence backfired when Tomura’s awakened Decay Quirk obliterated the city and his forces. Defeated, Re-Destro surrendered, merging his army with the League into the Paranormal Liberation Front under Tomura’s command. Post-defeat, Re-Destro embraced a deferential role, obeying Tomura while covertly strategizing—such as suspecting Hawks’ infiltration. Prosthetic legs replaced limbs lost to Decay, yet he remained combat-ready, engaging heroes like Edgeshot and Tsukuyomi. Charismatic yet merciless, Re-Destro balanced fervent loyalty to Destro’s legacy with sporadic humanity, mourning allies like Curious. Initially dismissive of Tomura’s directionless ambition, he later respected his adversary’s unrestrained resolve. A cloned replica of Re-Destro later sowed havoc during the Paranormal Liberation War, slaying Midnight before being destroyed. The original’s post-war fate remains entwined in the hero-villain conflict, his diminished authority offset by lingering influence as a key lieutenant.
