Description
Lui Shirosagi, known in Japan as Lui Shirasagijo, is a blader from the Beyblade Burst series who initially serves as the main antagonist of the first season. He is a pale-skinned young man with light blue and white hair, violet eyes that have a ring around them, and sharp teeth. His attire in the early seasons consists of a white feather boa that reaches down to his knees, a sky-blue dress shirt with breeches, a dark-purple tie, blue pants with black stripes, and white boots. When training, he switches to a white sleeveless t‑shirt with the Rideout team logo, navy blue track pants with two white stripes, and white sneakers.

Lui is regarded as the strongest of the Four Heavenly Kings, a group of elite bladers, and holds the title of absolute prince. He has won five consecutive National Championships, establishing himself as one of the most dominant bladers in the world. In the second season, Beyblade Burst God, he ranks second in the world. His beyblade of choice is Bloody Longinus, a reverse‑rotating dragon bey that he uses to devastating effect.

His personality is fierce and merciless during battle, and he often carries a cocky, arrogant demeanor. He looks down on opponents he considers weak and shows little patience for those who cannot challenge him. However, he does have a good side: he respects bladers who put up a genuine fight against him and acknowledges their strength. His behavior is driven by a strong motivation to prove his superiority and remain at the top. He only deigns to battle opponents he deems worthy, and he holds intense rivalries with two bladers in particular: Shu Kurenai and Free De La Hoya.

In the story, Lui’s role begins as that of a primary antagonist, serving as the final hurdle for the protagonist Valt Aoi. In the first season, his ruthless tactics and overwhelming power put him in direct opposition to the main characters. During this time, he is shown mocking Shu Kurenai when Shu suffers a breakdown, highlighting his cold, unsympathetic side. As the series progresses into later seasons such as God, Cho‑Z, Sparking, and Dynamite Battle, Lui undergoes noticeable character development. He gradually sheds some of his arrogance and becomes more of a rival and occasional ally rather than a pure villain. He begins to show glimpses of respect and even concern for his fellow bladers, and his interactions with Shu and Free become more nuanced. By the later seasons, his character develops from a one‑dimensional antagonist into a more layered individual who can work alongside others when necessary.

Notable abilities include his mastery of reverse rotation, which allows his bey to spin in the opposite direction of most opponents, creating unpredictable attack patterns. His bey, Bloody Longinus, is equipped with a sharp‑toothed design that excels at bursting opponents. Lui’s skill and technique make him one of the most formidable bladers in the entire series, consistently challenging even the top‑ranked competitors.
