Description
Orca is a high-ranking military commander of the Skylos Empire in Children of the Whales, serving as the head of the empire's Apatheia corps and as the supreme commander of the battleship Skylos during its invasion of the Mud Whale. He is the older brother of Lykos, the girl discovered by Chakuro and taken in by the people of the Mud Whale. The siblings were separated when Lykos entered the empire's soldier training school at the age of seven. Physically, Orca is described as having brown skin, long bright hair, and a large distinctive mark on his face.
As an Apatheia, Orca is a soldier whose emotions have been stripped away, and he represents the empire's ideal of the emotionless operative. He is a composed, calculating strategist who carries out his orders with clinical efficiency and is fully committed to the empire's mission of eradicating the people of the Mud Whale, whom the empire condemns as the sinners of Falaina. On the surface, he can appear outgoing and sociable, and he is capable of being friendly with those whose ideals and values match his own, but this outward manner never interferes with his duty.
