Description
Masato Gomon is a teacher at Sakaneko Private High School, where he serves as the adviser to the anime research club. He specializes in classical literature, but his true passion lies in high-quality video equipment, and he took on the adviser role primarily to gain access to the club room’s legacy gear. His sometimes irresponsible and carefree attitude often leads to trouble for those around him.

Before the events of the series, Gomon was himself a former member of the anime club and the creator of the original anime “Eternal Symphony.” That project was cancelled after only one episode due to harsh criticism from fans, an experience that left him with a deep-seated resentment and a desire to prevent the current club from repeating his perceived failure. This personal history drives his initial opposition to the club’s revival and activities.

Throughout the story, Gomon acts as a reluctant mentor and occasional obstacle. He is knowledgeable about anime production and technical equipment, which he occasionally shares with the students. As the club proves its dedication, he gradually softens his stance and begins to support their efforts, coming to terms with his own past. His relationships with the club members, especially Minoa, evolve from distant supervision to genuine guidance, marking his development from a disillusioned former creator to a more invested adviser.
