Description
Charmy Pappitson is a first class junior Magic Knight of the Clover Kingdom’s Black Bull squad and a hybrid of human and dwarf heritage. Her age is nineteen and her birthday is June 3. In her standard state, Charmy is a very short and petite young woman with a youthful appearance that makes her look much younger than her actual age. She has a broad forehead, thin eyebrows, green eyes, and shoulder-length black hair which she typically wears in an upside-down bun with fringes framing her face. Her usual attire includes a light-colored white tunic featuring a kangaroo pocket on the front, dark-colored pants that end below the knees, and light-colored yellow flats, along with the Black Bulls’ signature short black robe that has gold trimmings. She often has a blue satchel slung over her right shoulder which carries her grimoire. Her grimoire has a light cover decorated with a knife and fork surrounding a three-leaf clover.

When she activates her Food Magic, Charmy undergoes a distinct physical transformation, growing much taller into a more mature and developed form that aligns with her true age, with her hair hanging loose instead of being tied up. This hidden aspect of her power stems from her dwarf ancestry, a race that once lived alongside elves and possessed unique abilities.

Charmy’s personality is overwhelmingly defined by her intense love of food. She is an unstoppable glutton whose thoughts revolve almost entirely around eating, and she tends to prioritize her own cravings over larger problems or missions. For example, during an invasion of the Royal Capital, she follows a delicious smell to a restaurant rather than helping other Magic Knights defend the city. At the Seabed Temple’s battle royale, she spends her time fishing and cooking instead of looking for opponents. She is also fiercely protective of her meals, becoming cold and ruthless toward anyone who threatens to steal her food or waste it. When an elf-possessed mage dropped food she had offered or when an enemy destroyed the fruits of the Heart Kingdom, Charmy responded with overwhelming and relentless violence.

Despite this possessiveness, Charmy is fundamentally a generous person. She loves sharing her meals with her friends, former enemies, and even new squad members like Asta, whom she greeted with a piece of pastry upon his initiation. She tends to go overboard, however, constantly offering food to others even after they have expressed that they are full. Her simple and carefree demeanor, when food is not at stake, masks a practical wisdom, demonstrated when she calmly ate during a battle to restore her mana for the next fight.

Charmy was recruited into the Black Bulls by the squad’s captain, Yami Sukehiro, after he found her caught in one of his traps in a forest. Within the squad, she serves as an invaluable source of support and replenishment. Her Cotton Magic allows her to create sheep constructs that can cook meals capable of restoring her allies’ magical power. This ability makes her a critical asset for the Black Bulls’ endurance during extended battles, essentially acting as a mobile recharging station for her teammates. She formed a particular attachment to Yuno after he saved a dish of hers from falling during the Royal Capital invasion, thereafter referring to him affectionately as her Prince of Saving Food.

The revelation of Charmy’s true nature occurs during the conflict with the reincarnated elves. When the elf Lira, possessing the captain Rill Boismortier, knocked away food she had offered and attacked her, Charmy entered an unconscious state and awakened her dormant dwarf powers. Her giant cotton sheep transformed into a massive wolf, and Charmy herself grew into her adult form. This awakening unlocked her second magical attribute, Food Magic, which allows her to summon a wolf companion that devours the magical attacks of her opponents and converts them into her own strength. This power proved potent enough to defeat the elf-possessed Rill, an opponent considered exceptionally strong.

Charmy possesses two distinct magical attributes. Cotton Magic allows her to create and control cotton in various forms, which she uses for cooking with her Sheep Cook spell, for restraining enemies with techniques like Sheep Bondage, for transport with spells like Sheep Fluffy Cushion, and for combat with the Sleeping Sheep Strike, which summons a giant sheep to deliver powerful punches. Her second attribute, Food Magic, is tied to her dwarf heritage and manifests as a large wolf-like monster that eats the magic of her opponents. After training in the Heart Kingdom, she learned to apply the Heart Kingdom’s Mana Method to this magic, creating cooking utensils to metaphorically prepare and consume her opponents’ magical power. Even without her dwarf powers active, Charmy has been recognized for her combat capabilities, earning her promotion to first class junior magic knight after she single-handedly captured a rogue mage during the capital invasion. Her hybrid nature grants her an unusually large reserve of mana that fluctuates with her emotions, particularly her connection to food and the anger that arises when it is threatened.
