TV-Series
Description
Curaçao Opte Kouga, also known externally by that name, is a supporting character in the series. Her true name as the head of the Kouga clan is Kyuzo, though she does not typically reveal this information to others. She serves as the twelfth of the twelve Wings, a group of elite operatives under the command of Cardinal Maldin Ojes Kyunei. A skilled kunoichi, she leads the Kouga faction among the Eastern ninja groups, bringing her subordinates under Maldin's service. In her daily duties, she often disguises herself as the Cardinal's secretary, a role that conveniently masks her true responsibilities as an escort, spy, and intelligence gatherer.

Physically, Curaçao is described as a woman with narrow eyes who typically wears a suit. She has black hair that reaches her neck and green eyes. Her primary weapons include a dressage and a night crow.

Her personality is defined by a serious and professional dedication to her duties, particularly the protection of Cardinal Maldin. Among the more powerful or eccentric members of the Wings, she stands out as the one possessing the most human worries and doubts. She is shown to be frequently exasperated by the casual and disrespectful behavior of her colleague, Yokan, who has a habit of ignoring the elaborate security measures Curaçao and her men set up as a personal prank, often suddenly appearing in restricted areas. This leads Curaçao to frequently warn Yokan about unleashing the Kouga ninja's secret techniques, threats that Yokan typically ignores, causing Curaçao significant stress. Her concern is not just professional pride but genuine fear for her charge's safety, as she wonders if she could even stop Yokan if a real assassination attempt were ever made. A more personal quirk, mentioned by Maldin, is that she is surprisingly weak to exceptionally handsome men.

Within the story, her primary role is as a guardian and agent of Cardinal Maldin. In one notable early mission, she was put in charge of an assassination plan designed by Maldin himself to eliminate a political rival. Leading her subordinate ninjas in a raid on a secret meeting, the plan did not require the assassination to succeed, only to appear realistic. However, the operation went awry when the intended decoys, Gayus and Gigina, proved to be unexpectedly formidable. Curaçao and her forces suffered heavy casualties in the ensuing counterattack before she opted to retreat, having fulfilled the requirement of occupying enough time.

Her motivations are intertwined with her loyalty and her doubts. While she serves Maldin faithfully, she is also one of the few people in his inner circle who questions the morality of his grand schemes that gamble with the future of the world. Unlike colleagues such as Jesper, who is fanatically devoted, or Veldrit, who follows orders for amusement, Curaçao ponders whether it is right to leave Maldin to his own devices, showcasing her internal conflict between duty and personal conscience.

In terms of development, she is acknowledged as a high-level fighter who has mastered the limits of human capability. Her combat prowess is demonstrated when she fights Enormoo Tibalt, a six-eyed Enormoo, sending him to his goal. However, a recurring theme in her story is her standing relative to her peers. Despite her significant skills, she is ranked the lowest, twelfth, among the twelve Wings. The problem she faces is that the higher-ranked members, starting from the seventh or eighth positions, are described as true monsters who have transcended human limits. Consequently, she is far outclassed by individuals like Yokan, who is recognized as the second-strongest in the world. This power disparity is a clear source of professional frustration and insecurity for her. Her character represents the perspective of the highly capable, yet still human, individual trying to maintain order in a world of supernatural titans.
