Description
Griamore is a Holy Knight of the kingdom of Liones who comes from a distinguished lineage of knights that have served the royal family for many generations. He is the son of Dreyfus, one of the Great Holy Knights, and the nephew of the former Great Holy Knight Zaratras, making him a half-cousin to his fellow knight Gilthunder. Standing at an imposing 213 centimeters tall and weighing 181 kilograms, Griamore is a very tall and muscular individual with shoulder-length dark hair. His most striking feature is his unusual armor, which consists of a single-spiked helmet, full leg armor, and no upper body clothing except for a metal plate strapped across his chest, giving him an appearance more akin to a gladiator than a traditional knight.

Griamore's primary role and motivation in the story is his absolute loyalty as the personal bodyguard of Veronica Liones, the second princess of the kingdom. This loyalty is not merely professional but deeply personal, as he has served her since a very young age, to the point of role-playing as a horse for her to ride as a child. His entire identity as a knight is centered on her protection, and he holds the belief that displeasing her is absolutely forbidden. While initially appearing ruthless and cruel in the execution of his duties, such as being willing to execute a civilian for a perceived false report, this harshness is juxtaposed with his devoted and caring behavior toward Veronica. Beneath his intimidating and sometimes arrogant exterior lies a deep affection for the princess, and it is heavily implied and later confirmed that his feelings for her are romantic in nature. After the Holy War concludes, he officially enters into a romantic relationship with Veronica.

In his youth, Griamore was known, along with Gilthunder and Howzer, as one of the Three Misfits of the capital for their frequent pranks and mischief. As an adult, he is earnest and often overzealous in his efforts to please Veronica, which can lead to comical misunderstandings and scoldings from her. When she places her trust in him, he becomes so motivated that a strange sound is said to emanate from inside his armor.

Griamore's journey throughout the series is marked by profound loss and a struggle with his own perceived failures. He is present when Veronica sacrifices herself to protect her sister Elizabeth, and her final order to him is to protect Elizabeth in her stead. Overwhelmed by grief and unable to leave Veronica, he disobeys this command and is wracked with guilt, declaring himself an unworthy knight. He later has the opportunity to fight alongside his father against the demonified Hendrickson during the battle for the capital. Following the war, he embarks on a journey with Gilthunder and Howzer to uncover the truth behind the recent upheavals. During a magical trial in the Druids' village, he is transformed into the weak and frail child he once was, forcing him to confront his deepest insecurities about his own strength. He also develops a complex and somewhat forgiving relationship with the demon Fraudrin, who had been possessing his father's body; even after Fraudrin's death, Griamore builds a tomb in his memory, acknowledging the genuine, if twisted, affection Fraudrin had shown him while posing as his father.

Griamore's notable abilities are almost entirely defensive in nature, centering on his magical power known as Wall (also referred to as Barrier). This power allows him to create incredibly strong magical barriers that are said to be capable of withstanding attacks as powerful as a meteor shower. The strength of his barriers can vary, from simple walls that can be broken by powerful foes to formidable prisons that can trap multiple Holy Knights. He can use this ability defensively to protect others or offensively to isolate and contain enemies with techniques like the Perfect Shell, which creates a spherical barrier around a target. While his physical strength is considerable, his true value as a knight and bodyguard lies in his unmatched capacity for magical defense, symbolizing his deepest desire to shield Veronica from all harm. His initial power level is recorded as 1520, though after being transformed into a child, his physical stats plummet, leaving only his magical power largely intact.
