Description
Airi is one of the twin sisters at the center of the story, alongside her sibling Rise. She is visually distinguished by her blue clothing and purple hair, which contrasts with her sister’s pink outfit and silver hair. In terms of build, she is noted to be less physically developed than her sister, a trait that is occasionally acknowledged within the narrative.

In contrast to Rise’s more reliable and shy nature, Airi has a stronger, more direct, and occasionally disobedient personality. She tends to do things at her own pace and is not afraid to speak her mind. A recurring facet of her character is her slight irritation or dissatisfaction, as she often feels that their older brother, whom they call Ani, pays more attention to or worries more about her twin, Rise. This sense of competition for their brother’s affection is a key driver of her actions. Despite this, she shares a close bond with her sister, with their daily life—including eating meals, attending school, and interacting with friends—forming the core of the story.

Airi’s motivations are largely rooted in her family dynamics. Living under the care of their older brother, who has a clear sister complex, her actions often seek to gain his attention and approval. While she can be blunt, she is also shown to have vulnerabilities. For instance, she struggles with swimming and requires her brother’s patient help to learn. In a moment of vulnerability after consuming sweet sake, she becomes more affectionate and honest, admitting she has a hard time opening up and that the intoxication helps her express her true feelings. Her brother uses this opportunity to encourage her to be more honest with her emotions in her daily life.

Her role in the story is that of one of the two main heroines, participating in a variety of slice-of-life scenarios. These include helping out at a maid café run by their brother’s childhood friend, Kisaki, and interacting with their circle of friends, such as Maco and Coco. Over the course of the series, she, along with the other female characters, is recruited by Kisaki to form an idol group named KISSAKISS6. Despite her initial nervousness about performing, she is able to take the stage with the support of her brother and friends.
