TV-Series
Description
Margaret Mitchell is a young woman in her early twenties who serves as an apprentice and member of the Guild, a powerful American organization of ability users. She possesses the ability named Gone With the Wind, which allows her to generate and control wind that can weather and break down materials, effectively eroding objects and structures.

In terms of personality, Margaret is characterized by her arrogance and pride. She often carries herself with an air of superiority and tends to underestimate her opponents, believing her own abilities and status to be unassailable. Despite this, she occasionally reveals a softer side, particularly toward those she cares about. She is fearless in the face of danger but can lose her temper when things do not go according to her expectations, especially when an enemy refuses to be defeated.

Margaret’s primary motivation stems from a desire to protect her family from financial ruin. She joins the Guild’s mission in Yokohama specifically to earn enough to clear her family’s debts. This sense of duty and loyalty extends to her partner within the Guild, Nathaniel Hawthorne, for whom she shows deep concern and affection.

In the story, Margaret appears as a supporting antagonist during the conflict between the Guild, the Armed Detective Agency, and the Port Mafia. She works closely with Nathaniel Hawthorne, and the two are often seen together carrying out Guild operations. Her role is not as a primary leader but as a capable fighter who follows the orders of Guild leader Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald.

A key turning point for her character occurs when she and Nathaniel are engaged in battle with Ryunosuke Akutagawa of the Port Mafia. Margaret initially underestimates Akutagawa, but when he proves relentless, she loses her composure. In a desperate attempt to protect Nathaniel from a fatal attack, she throws herself in harm’s way and sustains severe injuries. This act of self-sacrifice leaves her in critical condition, and she falls into a coma. Fitzgerald, recognizing her value, expresses willingness to bargain for her recovery, indicating that she holds a meaningful place within the organization.

Margaret’s development is marked by a fall from pride to vulnerability. She begins as an overconfident fighter and ends up incapacitated due to her own rashness and her devotion to her partner. The narrative does not show much further growth for her within the second season, as she remains comatose for the rest of that arc. Her relationships are defined by her partnership with Nathaniel, her loyalty to Fitzgerald, and her animosity toward Akutagawa, whose strength forces her to confront her own limitations.

Her ability, Gone With the Wind, is a weathering-type power that enables her to disintegrate materials through wind erosion. It is a direct offensive ability that she uses in combat, though its full potential is not extensively showcased before she is taken out of action.
