Description
Code Omega 77 Stella is a character from the anime Ange Vierge. She is an android originating from the White World, one of the five interconnected dimensions in the series. Her physical design includes blonde hair cut to neck length and green eyes, though official sources note her eye color as blue. She is characterized by heterochromia, meaning her eyes are of different colors, and she is often depicted piloting a mech suit. Her apparent age is that of a female adolescent.

Stella possesses a quiet and reserved personality that can make her emotions difficult for others to read. She lives at her own pace and is generally detached, but this calm exterior masks an intense and singular passion for speed. Her core motivation is the desire to become the fastest being of all, an obsession that drives her actions and defines her self-worth.

At the beginning of her story, Stella holds a cold and utilitarian view of herself and her role. She sees herself and her companions as nothing more than tools or expendable soldiers, existing solely to complete missions. This mindset creates a barrier between her and the other girls, as she suppresses any desire for personal connection or vulnerability. A key incident from her past involved her friend Amane Ayashiro, who was forced to slap Stella after witnessing her reckless obsession with speed lead to severe self-inflicted injuries. Amane"s action was an expression of motherly love and concern, intended to make Stella realize that her life had value beyond achieving greater velocity.

This internal conflict resurfaces during a critical mission to stop the villains Code Omega 33 Carene and Code Omega 46 Xenia from destroying the White World"s core. Tasked with intercepting the pair, Stella initially reverts to viewing herself as a tool for the mission, disregarding her own safety. Saya Sougetsu, another of her companions, confronts this belief directly by slapping Stella, mirroring Amane"s earlier intervention. Saya insists that Stella is a precious and irreplaceable friend, not a disposable asset. This act of tough love penetrates Stella"s emotional defenses, helping her understand that she is valued by Saya, Amane, and the others, and that their concern stems from genuine care rather than a desire for her to perform as an object.

Her primary ability is the manipulation of acceleration. She can control her own velocity, pushing herself to move at incredible speeds, even approaching or exceeding the speed of light. This power, referred to as her Exceed, is what makes her uniquely suited to intercept high-speed threats like Carene and Xenia. However, her pursuit of this power is initially framed as self-destructive. Her character development culminates not in achieving raw speed for its own sake, but in using her ability to protect others. She ultimately defeats her opponents not through destructive force, but by embracing them in a gesture that represents the power of friendship and connection she had previously rejected. Upon freeing Carene and Xenia from the dark side, Stella herself gains an even greater level of extreme speed, having achieved it not through isolation and obsession, but through the support and trust of her friends.
