Minamoto no Yoshitsune is a historical figure from Japan’s Genpei War who appears in the anime Drifters as a cunning and ruthless general of the Minamoto clan. He is recognized as the former commander of the famous archer Nasu no Yoichi, and his reputation from his original era follows him into the strange world to which he is summoned.
