Description
Asuka Kurashina is the main heroine of the story. She is a high school girl who stands at 158 centimeters tall with a birthday on May 2nd. Her appearance is characterized by her long, straight baby-pink hair and her bright blue eyes. She typically wears the standard uniform of Kunahama Academy, and when competing, she dons a specialized white and pink flying suit. A distinctive feature is the small blue wing-ribbon she wears in her hair, which is actually a part from a Zephyrion action figure.

Asuka transfers to Kunahama Academy as a second-year student, having just moved to the town of Kuna Island. Upon her arrival, she is completely unfamiliar with the sport of Flying Circus, which uses anti-gravity grav-shoes. She is a diligent and earnest individual, known for her cheerful, energetic, and honest personality. Her natural curiosity is boundless, and once she sets her mind to a goal, she pursues it with full commitment. She is always polite, speaking with formal honorifics regardless of who she is addressing. While she can be somewhat air-headed and clumsy at times, she also possesses a hidden maturity and the ability to stay calm under pressure. In her childhood, she was much shyer, a stark contrast to her present outgoing nature.

Her primary motivation stems from a deep and simple love for flying. She holds an immense admiration for Zephyrion, a fictional character or mecha from an in-universe series. This pure passion for the sky is the driving force behind her actions, rather than a desire for victory or fame. Her approach to Flying Circus is defined by her tendency to fly in a straight, direct line, and she believes that the true essence of the sport is to have fun.

In the narrative, Asuka serves as a catalyst for the story. As a transfer student who has never flown before, she reintroduces the characters around her, particularly Masaya Hinata, to the joys of Flying Circus. She is the first and most enthusiastic member of the revived Kunahama Academy Flying Circus club, and her infectious determination inspires her teammates and helps rekindle Masaya's dormant passion for the sport.

Asuka shares several key relationships that define her journey. Her bond with Masaya Hinata is central; he was a child she once played with and later becomes her coach. She trusts him wholeheartedly, and his guidance helps her unlock her potential, while her efforts help him overcome his past trauma. She has a close friendship with her classmate Misaki Tobisawa, and the two serve as the primary protagonists of the team, pushing each other to improve. She also acts as a supportive senior figure to the younger Mashiro.

Over the course of the story, Asuka undergoes significant development. She begins as a complete novice, unable to even stand in her grav-shoes. Through relentless hard work and a refusal to give up, she rapidly evolves into a formidable competitor. Her philosophy that Flying Circus should be enjoyable becomes her greatest strength, allowing her to perform under pressure and innovate during matches. The story culminates with her becoming the All-Japan Flying Circus Fall tournament champion, a testament to her incredible growth.

Regarding her abilities, Asuka is an all-rounder who uses Hiten type4 grav-shoes. Despite her late start, she shows a natural, almost instinctive talent for the sport. She is known for performing several advanced special moves. She was the first person to successfully execute the Air Kick Turn, a difficult maneuver that involves flipping in mid-air to regain momentum. She also masters the High Yo-yo to build up speed and the Delta Force, a complex tactic that involves flying in a triangular pattern to confuse an opponent before striking. Her unpredictable and straightforward style of play often catches even the most seasoned opponents off guard.
