Reystov hailed from the Silverpeak Clan in Volt's Stove within the Ice Mountains. As the second son of a village chief, he survived the massacre of his family by neighboring tribes while visiting his uncle's village. He dedicated his upbringing under his uncle's care to training for vengeance. By age fifteen, he realized pursuing revenge would endanger his remaining kin, as the responsible tribes had grown powerful, leading him to abandon that path.
He instead became an adventurer, seeking enduring honor and glory. He believed spreading his name far and wide would let his deceased family in the heavens hear of his deeds, granting peace to their souls. During his active years, he sported long, messy hair and scruffy facial hair, though he later adopted a more presentable look with shorter hair and a clean-shaven face.
Reystov projected a rough, battle-loving demeanor, openly embracing the title of "madman," thriving on combat and personal renown. Beneath this exterior, he demonstrated strategic thinking, deep concern for allies' safety, and a sociable nature. He valued camaraderie, consistently displayed humor during gatherings, and was guided by underlying loyalty and responsibility.
He first gained wider recognition as a formidable adventurer in Whitesails. Among the first to take William's commission to subjugate the demons in the Beast Woods seriously, he recognized the threat and actively rallied fellow adventurers. He used a pre-departure feast to forge connections and solidify group cohesion. During this mission, he identified William's tendency toward isolation as the "illness of the strong," drawing from experience witnessing others succumb to it. He played a vital role in the coordinated defeat of the Chimera and cleansing of the Beast Woods.
Following these events, he retired from adventuring. He married Anna, a novice priestess at the Whitesails temple and adopted daughter of Bishop Bagley, opting for a settled life with her. His adventuring approach focused on effectiveness over personal fame, preferring tangible results over embellished tales.
