Description
Marcos Eringrad Garcia is a sixteen-year-old Mexican boy born in the cartel-dominated northern region of Gran Mexico. He was raised primarily by his mother and knew little about his father except that he was a gangster. At the age of six, he met his childhood friend Alex at his mother’s former workplace. Later, along with Alex and another friend named Sheila, he escaped the poverty of his home country and joined the Annex Project in order to obtain American citizenship. This decision stemmed from a desire to find honest work and a better life.
Marcos initially comes across as a troublemaker, but beneath that surface he is someone who deeply values his friendships and cares greatly about the people close to him. His motivations are rooted in loyalty to his two childhood companions and a determination to secure a future free from hardship. He is a member of Squad 1 of the Annex I crew and holds the Mars ranking of number nine.
During the M.O. Operation, Marcos underwent a surgical procedure that granted him the abilities of a huntsman spider scaled up to human size. This transformation gives him immense physical strength, ferocity, and extraordinary speed that allows him to outpace and overwhelm the mutated cockroach creatures known as Terraformars, leaving them no opportunity to counterattack. His speed is described as immeasurable, and his endurance is so high that he can fight continuously until the serum’s effects wear off. In combat, he wields a staff he calls the Archnebuster Mk.II, a weapon he uses to deflect ranged attacks and impale the roaches. The name is heavily mocked by his friends because it sounds as though it was meant to bust spiders rather than cockroaches. Outside of battle, Marcos enjoys playing the guitar and has a particular fondness for fried chicken.
