Description
Matsumae is a ghoul who serves the Tsukiyama family, one of the most influential ghoul families in Tokyo. She is first introduced in the OVA Tokyo Ghoul: Pinto, which focuses on the early relationship between Shuu Tsukiyama and the half-ghoul Kaneki Ken. In the story, Matsumae works as a teacher at Seinan Gakuin High School and is the homeroom teacher of Shuu Tsukiyama, a role that allows her to keep a close eye on him while maintaining a human cover. Her service to the Tsukiyama family extends back to Shuu's childhood, and she has been a constant, protective presence in his life.
Physically, Matsumae is a young woman with short, chin-length black hair and distinctive near-black eyes with very little visible white sclera. Her demeanor is consistently calm and professional, even under extreme pressure such as a confrontation with Commission of Counter Ghoul investigators.
