Marieke Oeffinger is a German voice actress and actress known for her extensive work in dubbing anime series and films for the German-speaking market. Born on July 10, 1979, in Frankfurt am Main, she began her artistic training in her youth with acting lessons and performed on various stages, including the Munich Musical Theater. She further honed her skills with courses in singing and dance, including at the Performing Arts Studios Vienna in Austria and the Meisterklasse zum Medienschauspieler at the DSA in Munich. Her entry into voice acting came at the age of 21 with a small role in the film Tokyo Raiders.
Oeffinger has built a prolific career as a voice actress, bringing a wide variety of anime characters to life. Her roles span numerous popular series and films. She is the German voice of Annie Leonhardt in the phenomenally successful Attack on Titan franchise, a role she has reprised across multiple seasons and films. In the comedy series KONOSUBA, she voices the crusader Darkness, appearing in the second season, the film Legend of Crimson, and other related projects. She also lends her voice to the dragon slayer Erza Scarlet in the long-running series Fairy Tail and its associated films. In the Pokémon franchise, Oeffinger has had a significant presence, voicing the character Iris in the Pokémon: Black and White series and Lilia in Pokémon: Black and White: Rival Destinies as well as several Pokémon films, including Kyurem VS. The Sword of Justice.
