Description
Hana Satō is a high school student who plays a significant role in the story as a classmate and the primary love interest of Shū Sakurada. She is easily recognized by her appearance, which features straight, shoulder-length blonde hair typically styled into pigtails with curled tips, often secured by a flower-shaped hairpin on her left side. Her eyes are a round, light blue color, and she is noted to be quite short for her age.

Hana possesses a kind, outgoing, and cheerful personality, though she has a notable tendency to become easily embarrassed and flustered, particularly in situations involving Shū. A defining characteristic is her extremely weak presence, which has made it difficult for her to remain in other people's memories since childhood. This lack of a strong presence contributes to a sense of insecurity about her own existence. Despite this, she is deeply caring, supportive, and honest, almost always wearing a smile. Beneath her sometimes shy exterior, Hana is also quite brave, as demonstrated when she made a bold public declaration of her feelings for Shū to help cover up an incident involving his sister Akane's powers.

Hana and Shū were classmates in the fourth grade of elementary school, a time when she first came to the city. Due to her family frequently moving for work, she had been afraid to form close bonds, but her year with Shū changed that, allowing her to treasure someone outside her family. They are reunited in high school, where Hana quickly develops a serious crush on him. Her primary motivation becomes her love for Shū, which is so earnest that she hopes for a future with him that includes marriage.

Her key relationship is, of course, with Shū Sakurada. He is one of the few people who has always remembered her, appreciating her for her honest and straightforward nature. After her public courtship, their relationship is acknowledged, and despite her worries that she might be holding him back from his goal of becoming king, they become lovers. She later takes on the role of his manager, handling his speaking schedule, and as she grows more comfortable, she stops using formal language with him. Their relationship progresses to an official engagement, with plans to marry after graduating from college. She also develops a relationship with Shū's family. Her relationship with his sister, Kanade, is initially awkward because Kanade's brotherly affection makes her wary of Hana, though they eventually become close enough to go shopping together.

Throughout the story, Hana undergoes noticeable development. Initially very shy and uncertain, she gains confidence and maturity, particularly after her relationship with Shū is solidified and she becomes engaged. Her love and supportiveness evolve into a dependable partnership as she helps manage his public life. Aside from her personal qualities, Hana does not possess supernatural abilities, which is a notable contrast to the Sakurada siblings, who each have special powers. Her primary strengths are her emotional resilience, her unwavering support for the one she loves, and her ability to act bravely in crucial moments despite her typically meek demeanor.
