Description
Krishna Ramesh is a character from the anime Baby Steps. Hailing from India, he is a top-ranked junior tennis player training at the IMG Academy in Florida, where he is widely regarded as a rising star. He is sixteen years old, with black hair and green eyes, and carries himself with a quiet, reserved demeanor. On the court, Krishna is a disciplined and methodical competitor who rigorously adheres to tactical rules and constantly seeks to eliminate mistakes. His perfectionist approach and attention to detail allow him to read opponents' movements and exploit their weaknesses. Off the court, he is humble, calm, and always eager to learn and improve. His primary motivation is to transition from a successful junior career to the professional tour. When Eiichirou Maruo arrives at the Florida Tennis Academy, Krishna becomes his roommate alongside two other players, Alex and Atsushi. Compared to his more extroverted roommates, Krishna is notably quieter, yet he forms a solid friendship with Eiichirou. He serves as both a friend and an informal mentor, offering guidance on strategy, mental endurance, and the subtleties of high-level tennis. His relationship with Eiichirou helps the protagonist navigate the challenges of training abroad and refines his analytical approach to the game. Krishna himself continues to develop as a player, embodying the steady, incremental progress that the series values. His notable abilities include precise shot-making, exceptional court sense, and a calm strategic mind that allows him to perform consistently under pressure.
