Description
Hyōta Ashikaga, a first-year middle school student in class 1-A at Yubiwa Private Academy, serves as the athletic cornerstone of the Pretty Boy Detective Club. Radiating a cheerful, carefree energy, he balances mischievous antics—playfully attempting to peek under skirts or quipping provocatively about attractive figures, even criminals—with bold courage in crises, such as leaping to rescue others from harm.

His striking appearance features short, curly blonde hair, vivid yellow eyes, and delicately feminine features, contrasted by a prideful display of toned legs through self-modified uniform shorts worn regardless of season. This sartorial choice famously spurred female peers to favor black stockings over shorter skirts. Completing his look are yellow boots and a dark green blazer adorned with celestial-patterned ties. Though he begrudgingly dons long pants during undercover missions, he staunchly avoids cross-dressing despite his androgynous allure.

Hyōta’s past includes a childhood parental divorce and three kidnappings, events that underscore his resilience. As the track team’s star runner, his athleticism fuels daring feats like outpacing cars on a bicycle, cementing his value in club operations. He joined the detective group after encountering its president, Manabu Soutouin, leveraging his agility for their missions.

Within the club, he needles Nagahiro Sakiguchi over his engagement to a younger girl and dubs Mayumi Doujima “Mr. Bare-Legs,” reflecting his playful rapport. His rebellious disregard for authority clashes yet harmonizes with unwavering loyalty to the club’s aesthetics-driven ethos. Aligning with their “boyish spirit” mandate, his exuberant defiance and physical confidence drive his commitment to their pursuits, consistently highlighting his mischievous charm and dedication.
