Face is the primary antagonist of the Saber Marionette R OVA series. His real name is Star Face, and he is the older brother of Junior, the rightful heir to the throne of the city-state of Romana. As the firstborn son, Face was originally the direct successor to the throne before his actions led to his downfall. He is a direct, pure clone of his father, King Vilei.

Initially, Face was captured and held in a church for being the mastermind behind an attempted coup. However, he was broken out of captivity by three powerful femme fatale androids known as the Sexadolls, named Edge, Brid, and Kyanny. Following his escape, Face successfully manipulated Romana's central computer to launch a full-scale coup, successfully seizing control of the state. During this takeover, he murdered his father, the king, and usurped the throne, forcing his brother Junior to become a fugitive.

Face is a technically brilliant individual, having single-handedly recreated the lost and highly advanced Lorelei System, a feat of engineering that allowed for the creation of sophisticated marionettes. He named his own version the Face System. Using this system, he constructed all of the marionettes that appear in the story of Saber Marionette R, including the three main female protagonists Lime, Cherry, and Bloodberry, as well as his deadly enforcers, the Sexadolls. A tragic consequence of his creation is that his system was not a perfect restoration; it was prone to degradation over successive generations, which led to instability and rampages in the marionettes it powered.

Driven by a desire to claim his perceived birthright, Face sought out the spirit or remains of the first king of Romana to formally become the new ruler. In this final confrontation, his younger brother Junior revealed a profound and terrible truth to him. The specific nature of this revelation drives Face to complete despair. Overcome by this hopelessness, Face voluntarily leaps to his death into a sea of plasma.
