TV-Series
Description
Alielle is a young woman who serves as a lady-in-waiting and close companion to Princess Fatora of the Roshtaria royal family. Her background is tied to her position at the royal palace, though she maintains connections with her own family outside the court. She is assigned by the royal advisor, Dr. Schtalubaugh, to accompany the protagonists from Earth on their journey. Her official task is to act as their guide across the land of El-Hazard and to observe the mysterious powers of the young hero, Makoto Mizuhara, reporting her findings back to the doctor.

Alielle has a cheerful, energetic, and enthusiastic personality. She is notably friendly and capable when acting as a guide, proving herself a loyal companion to the travelers. However, her most defining trait is her intense and open admiration for other women. She has a powerful infatuation with red hair, which causes her to be frequently drawn to and unable to resist making advances on the fiery-haired priestess, Shayla-Shayla. This behavior is a recurring source of comedy, as she is often seen attempting to hug or compliment the object of her affection. Her enthusiasm can also manifest in impulsive and somewhat selfish ways, such as when she desperately rushes ahead of the group to reach a source of water in the desert, barreling through her companions in the process.

Her primary motivation is to serve her princess and assist the Earth visitors in their quest to find a way home. She takes her duties as a guide seriously, using her knowledge of El-Hazard to lead the group to locations such as the Shrines of Wind and Fire. She also demonstrates a willingness to learn and teach, as seen when she helps the history teacher, Mr. Fujisawa, understand the differences between Earth history and the history of El-Hazard, effectively becoming his instructor. While she has a tendency to flatter powerful figures, like the Priestess of Wind, her actions generally come from a place of earnest, if often misguided, goodwill.

In the story of El-Hazard: The Wanderers, Alielle serves as a crucial member of the traveling party. Without the direct influence of Princess Fatora, who is absent for most of the series, Alielle is portrayed as a more capable and level-headed individual, though her amorous tendencies remain. She provides local knowledge, comic relief, and a link to the inner workings of the Roshtarian court. Her key relationships include her devotion to Princess Fatora, whom she serves loyally. She also forms a significant bond with the red-haired Shayla-Shayla, whom she constantly pesters with affection. Her dynamic with Mr. Fujisawa is notable as well, as she briefly takes on the role of his teacher. She also maintains a secretive professional relationship with Dr. Schtalubaugh as his informant regarding Makoto.

Alielle does not undergo a dramatic personal transformation throughout the series, but her behavior is context-dependent. Free from the domineering presence of Princess Fatora, her personality is less sycophantic and her less desirable traits are toned down, revealing a more independent and helpful young woman. Her development is subtle, showing her ability to adapt from a pampered royal attendant into a functional and resourceful member of a traveling adventuring party.

Regarding notable abilities, Alielle possesses practical skills rather than combat prowess. She is knowledgeable about the geography, politics, and locations of El-Hazard, making her an effective guide. She is also capable of piloting the flying ships of Roshtaria, demonstrating a technical aptitude for navigation and operation. Her observational skills, while used to spy on Makoto for Dr. Schtalubaugh, also prove useful in assessing situations and people. She does not wield any weapons or magical powers, despite a brief image in another continuity suggesting the use of a sword.
