Description
Bianca, whose full name is Bianca A. Lou, is a character from the anime Dragon Crisis. She is a 17-year-old researcher affiliated with the world relic protection society, specifically working out of its San Francisco branch. She is notable for having entered the society's research division at the young age of 15, a testament to her remarkable intellectual gifts. In terms of her physical appearance, Bianca is recognized by her vivid red hair and green eyes. Her distinctive attire consists of a mini qipao worn underneath a white laboratory coat, a combination that reflects her unique personality and her role as a scientist.

Personality-wise, Bianca is a quintessential example of a brilliant but eccentric researcher. She is described as being self-centered and willing to do almost anything to achieve her objectives. This forceful and unconventional approach to her work is demonstrated clearly upon her first meeting with the protagonist, Ryuji, when she launches a projectile weapon at him inside his school classroom simply to initiate a series of tests. She uses the masculine self-reference "boku" when speaking Japanese, which adds to her unconventional and assertive character. A notable personal quirk is her extremely poor eyesight; without her glasses, she becomes disoriented and is prone to panicking or going on a rampage.

Bianca's primary motivation stems from a past event. When she was 12 years old, her life was saved by Ryuji's father. This experience left a profound and lasting impression on her, leading her to deeply admire and idolize Ryuji's parents. This admiration is a driving force behind her actions and explains her intense interest in examining Ryuji, as she wishes to understand the son of the people who rescued her. Her devotion to them is so strong that she eventually seeks out and obtains their autographs, treasuring them as prized possessions.

Within the story, Bianca serves as an agent of the society, arriving to investigate and quantify Ryuji's abilities as a high-level Relic user known as a breaker. Her arrival injects a scientific and analytical perspective into the narrative. She subjects Ryuji to a battery of physical and mental examinations, including a dangerous final test involving a combat automaton called a Neogolem. When the Neogolem malfunctions and goes out of control, she is forced to rely on Ryuji and the dragon girl Rose to resolve the crisis. After these events, she relocates to Japan and becomes a semi-regular presence, moving into the apartment next to Ryuji's, where she continues her research and offers her expertise. For instance, she later assists in capturing a dragon named Sapphie to gather information when Rose falls mysteriously ill.

In terms of key relationships, Bianca is primarily a colleague and occasional ally to Ryuji and his cousin Eriko. While her methods are often invasive and reckless, she is not an antagonist but rather a neutral party driven by scientific curiosity and her personal admiration for Ryuji's family. Her relationship with Ryuji is professional, with her seeing him as a fascinating subject of study. Over time, she integrates into the extended circle of characters living near Ryuji, becoming a familiar if eccentric presence. As a researcher, her abilities are considerable. Although her direct combat skills are only average, making her a level four relic user, her value lies in her exceptional analytical and research capabilities. She is a genius inventor and analyst, capable of creating and operating advanced technological devices like the Neogolem to test the limits of relic users.
