Daiki Watari, also known as Derek Watari in some adaptations, is a character from B-Daman Crossfire. He is a young male competitor with red eyes and brown hair that reaches his neck, often styled with distinct yellow highlights. His chosen B-Daman is Supreme Tigare, a model noted for its balance of precision and rapid-fire capabilities.

Formerly recognized as the top B-Shot in the South Block, Watari once ruled this area under the alias the "Boss of the South". His personality is that of a troublemaker with a rough and careless manner, frequently using the word "Tiger" during his actions, reflecting his deep affinity for the animal and his own B-Daman. Despite this brash exterior, his most defining trait is his profound loyalty. This is most visible in his relationship with Novu Moru, whom he genuinely respects and considers the true "Boss of the South". Watari consistently follows Novu's lead, addressing him with reverence and providing assistance whenever needed.

His role in the story is closely tied to his allegiance to Novu Moru, serving as a dedicated follower and fellow competitor. His development is demonstrated through the strength of this loyalty. Even after experiencing a setback, such as when Novu left following a decisive battle, Watari’s devotion did not waver. During a subsequent tournament focused on point collection, he was seen shouting encouragement for his former leader, prioritizing their bond over the competition itself. In terms of abilities, Watari is highly skilled with his partner Supreme Tigare, having proven his prowess as a dominant fighter in the South Block, capable of both precise shots and rapid-fire attacks. He typically wears a grey hooded sweatshirt with eye-like designs on the hood, a red, blue, and yellow t-shirt featuring a large mouth graphic, and black shorts with yellow spots.
