Description
Legolas is an anime‑exclusive character appearing in both seasons of Blue Dragon, including the second season Blue Dragon: Trials of the Seven Shadows. He serves as a Regional Inspector for the Royal Army of Jibral, a position that places him in frequent contact with the main party. Physically, he is a tall, muscular man with a hirsute build, a blonde curly afro, and a beard. He typically wears a blue sleeveless shirt that exposes his hairy chest and arms, belted with a coral‑red sash.

In terms of personality, Legolas is dedicated and dependable, often putting himself at risk to assist Shu and the others. He has a somewhat unlucky streak when it comes to Bouquet, who has a habit of accidentally injuring him. Despite these mishaps, he remains cooperative and loyal. His primary motivation is to protect Jibral and its people, first as an army inspector and later as a leader of a resistance movement.

Legolas first appears after Shu and Blue Dragon defeat Ivanov and Gustav. He aids Shu and his companions whenever possible, providing reinforcements during the final battle against Nene’s forces, where he arrives with soldiers to fight alongside Conrad. Two years later, in Trials of the Seven Shadows, Legolas has formed a resistance group called the Sarbin resistance to oppose General Logi and the Rosekstan military. Shu and Bouquet join this resistance at the beginning of the second season. Legolas is also involved in a mission to infiltrate Z’Mey alongside Noi, Conrad, Griz, and Daner, navigating obstacles to reach the main chamber. Later, he travels to the town of Heliut to raise funds for his resistance, but ends up deeply in debt to Mayor Heliut the Fourth after losing at the casinos.

Key relationships include his cooperation with Shu, Bouquet, and the other shadow users. He works closely with Conrad and the soldiers under his command. His bond with Bouquet is marked by her accidental harm, but he does not hold a grudge. Legolas does not possess a shadow himself; his abilities are those of a capable soldier and leader rather than a supernatural combatant. His notable skills include strategic planning, organizing a resistance, and persistent dedication to his cause even when facing overwhelming odds. Over the course of the story, Legolas develops from a regional official into a determined resistance leader, showing adaptability and unwavering commitment to justice.
