Stranded on a desolate world, he aided Mitaka’s terraforming research to breathe life into dead planets. Obsessed with Jedi lore, he fantasized about clashing with the Empire, prompting Mitaka to challenge him to seek a kyber crystal for a lightsaber. Unaware the crystal already pulsed within his chassis, T0-B1 scoured the wastes in vain.

Exploring a sealed basement, he activated an abandoned skyhopper’s comm system, unwittingly triggering an emergency signal that drew an Imperial Inquisitor. Mitaka, exposed as a fugitive Jedi, cloaked T0-B1 with the Force before facing the enemy alone. The Inquisitor razed the lab, killing Mitaka. Grieving at his mentor’s grave, T0-B1 chose legacy over revenge, reviving damaged droids to finish their terraforming work. Their success summoned rain, awakening dormant seeds across the planet.

Guided by Mitaka’s spectral echo, T0-B1 harnessed his internal kyber crystal to forge a lightsaber. When the Inquisitor returned, Mitaka’s spirit anointed him Jedi Knight Tobi mid-duel.
