Lan Ar-Shoo, nicknamed Lan, is a male member of a multi-torsoed species who thunders on the versatile cluster drums for the rock band Star Waver. His unique physiology boasts three distinct torsos, each crowned by its own head. Each head displays a unique personality alongside distinct physical traits: varying horn shapes and lengths protruding from their foreheads and differing hair colors—brown, white, and dark gray.

Lan played a key role in Star Waver during the Galactic Empire's reign. When Jabba the Hutt placed a bounty on bass guitarist Geezer for rejecting his crime syndicate family, bounty hunter Boba Fett pursued the band. Lan joined bandmates Jay and the droid K-344 on a mission to Tatooine to appeal to Jabba and halt Geezer's execution. Their success came through a performance; the band played a song that impressed Jabba, securing Geezer's release and gaining Jabba as their sponsor.

Lan's design draws inspiration from Japanese cultural and mythological figures, including the thunder deity Raijin, the demonic Oni, and multi-armed Ashura statues. This influence shapes his multi-limbed appearance and the visual depiction of his drumming.
