Description
Guiying Li served as a research adviser in computational chemistry for the SHIVA consortium, an international coalition focused on analyzing Archetype—a mysterious substance rooted in the work of Professor Michiyuki Ashihara, who sought to avert a 2030 global catastrophe linked to red dust, a form of Archetype. After discovering Mei Kamino’s speculative research on extra-dimensional lifeforms, Li recruited her to Dubai to collaborate on decoding Singular Points and the looming Catastrophe.

During a lecture, Li showcased Archetype’s properties using four crystalline cubes that trapped and amplified laser energy until fracturing. This demonstration spurred Mei to theorize that Archetype manipulated energy across temporal dimensions, defying conventional physics. Though peers dismissed the idea, Li endorsed Mei’s hypothesis and tasked her with formalizing it into a report, which later became pivotal to understanding Archetype’s temporal mechanics.

Expanding her research, Li studied Ashihara’s archives, uncovering links between Archetype, red dust, and kaiju emergences. She traveled to London with Mei to access Ashihara’s personal records, which warned of conflicting Singular Point forecasts and the Catastrophe’s inevitability. Amid rising threats, Li secured the Orthogonal Diagonalizer—a theoretical countermeasure—and coordinated its delivery to Tokyo allies.

Her efforts ended abruptly during a Rodan attack en route to India. She lost her life attempting to rescue a stray cat from the chaos, highlighting her compassion. Before her death, she ensured the Orthogonal Diagonalizer’s transfer, enabling its deployment against Godzilla and mitigating the Catastrophe’s devastation.
