Angela Wiederhut is a German voice actor known for her extensive work in dubbing anime and live-action films and series. Born on December 2, 1976, in Munich, she grew up in a musically inclined family, playing the piano, flute, and violin as a child and singing in the children's choir of the Bavarian State Opera. Her career in voice acting began by chance at the age of twelve when she accompanied a friend to a dubbing studio and was asked to fill in for an absent child actor. This opportunity led to her first regular role as the voice of Sunny, the yellow bear, in the German version of Disney's "Disney's Gummibärenbande" (Gummi Bears).

Wiederhut has become a prominent voice in the German dubbing industry for anime. She is particularly well-known for long-running roles in major series, such as Misty in the "Pokémon" franchise, a character she has voiced across numerous television episodes and films including "Pokémon 4Ever," "Pokémon Heroes - Latias & Latios," "Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution," and "Pokémon: The Mastermind of Mirage Pokemon". Another iconic role is the female version of the title character in "Ranma ½," and she also voices Sango in "InuYasha" and its related films. Her repertoire includes a wide variety of other anime characters, such as Noi in "Dorohedoro," the Makrophage in "Cells at Work!" and its second season, Frederica in "Chaika - The Coffin Princess," Mizuki Nakahara in "Lycoris Recoil," Sarina Tougou in "ID: INVADED," Aloe in "Interspecies Reviewers," Guiying Li in "Godzilla Singular Point," Saki Mishima in "Ni no Kuni," Officer Rocky in "Pokémon Journeys: The Series," Sae Niijima in "PERSONA 5 the Animation," Jeannie in "Kaze no Naka no Shoujo Kinpatsu no Jeanie," and Michaela in "Pokémon: Mega Evolution Special I". Beyond these, her voice can be heard in many other notable anime, including Haru in "The Cat Returns," Saeko Busujima in "Highschool of the Dead," and Conis in "One Piece".

In addition to her anime work, Wiederhut has an extensive career dubbing live-action films and television series. She has provided the German voice for numerous well-known actresses, including Gwendoline Christie as Brienne of Tarth in "Game of Thrones," Alyson Hannigan as Lily Aldrin in "How I Met Your Mother," Nikki Reed as Rosalie Hale in the "Twilight" saga, Rose Byrne in "Damages" and the "Insidious" films, and Scarlett Johansson in "The Island". Her film work also includes voices in major productions like "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" and "Donnie Darko".

In recognition of her talent, Angela Wiederhut won the SynchroStar award in 2005, a public audience award for German voice actors. Parallel to her voice acting career, she is also an active singer. Since August 2001, she has been a member of The Funny Valentines, a Munich-based jazz and swing vocal quartet that performs arrangements of classics from the 1930s and 1940s.
