Description
Chloe Klick is a supporting character from the anime Genesis of Aquarion. She is a fraternal twin and the sister of Kurt Klick, with whom she shares a unique and powerful telepathic bond. This psychic connection is strongest between the two of them, allowing them to communicate without speaking. Unlike many of the other young element users at DEAVA, Chloe and her brother rarely take part in direct combat. Instead, they fulfill a crucial support role by working in the organization's control room, where they monitor and manage the computer systems during operations against the Shadow Angels.
In terms of her background, Chloe is one of the specially gifted individuals recruited by DEAVA to help operate the Vector machines and form the legendary mecha Aquarion. She and her brother often function as a pair, with their complementary skills and telepathic abilities making them highly effective in their technical and monitoring duties. When she does pilot a Vector, such as in the fifteenth episode of the series, she wears a purple bodysuit with gray wrist guards.
Chloe is known for being a very earnest and serious person. She does not talk to people very much and can come across as reserved or aloof. This earnest nature means she takes her responsibilities seriously, and she is sometimes described as fulfilling a class representative-like role within the group of element users. Despite being quite beautiful, she has commented that boys do not seem to approach her, which may be due to her serious demeanor. One key difference from her brother is that she prefers cats, while Kurt is a dog person. An unusual trait is that she is an insomniac, which had the unexpected benefit of protecting her from being captured by the Harvest Beast of dreams, Titania.
Her primary motivation is to contribute to the fight against the Shadow Angels and support her comrades from her post in the control room. She forms a key relationship with her twin brother, Kurt, as they work together seamlessly. Another significant relationship is her romantic interest in the pilot Pierre Vieira; she harbors feelings for him, which are eventually reciprocated toward the end of the series. While her role in the story is not frontline combat for most of the series, her technical expertise and telepathic abilities are essential to DEAVA's operations. Chloe does undergo some development, transitioning from a purely background support character to one who takes a more active role when necessary, including piloting a Vector and acting on her personal feelings. Her notable abilities include her telepathy, particularly with her brother, and her high level of skill with the computers and monitoring systems essential for coordinating the Vectors in battle.
