TV-Series
Description
Mayumi Thyme is a side character in the Shuffle! series. She is a half-human and half-devil hybrid, identified by her heterochromia, meaning she has differently colored eyes. She attends Verbena Academy as a second-year student in Rin Tsuchimi's class. Physically, she is described as a pretty and stylish girl with long gray hair and red eyes, though her heterochromia gives her eyes dissimilar colors. Her birthday is January 1.

Her personality is bubbly and hyperactive. She is highly curious and often rushes into situations, which leads her to become a troublemaker. Mayumi constantly looks for news and gossip and carries a digital camera to satisfy her curiosity. Despite her energetic exterior, she is sensitive and can be easily hurt by the actions of others. Academically, she struggles with test-taking and regularly attends supplementary classes, yet she is notably knowledgeable about trivial matters and is a skilled negotiator.

A recurring trait is her small bust size, the smallest in the series, which is frequently teased by Rin and Itsuki. In response, she takes pride in her physique, rationalizing that below-average chests are a rarity sought after by a select group of men. This indicates a degree of self-awareness and confidence, though she also harbors an inferiority complex about it.

Mayumi's role in the story is that of a supporting character and classmate who provides comic relief and serves as a friend to the main cast. She is good friends with Kaede Fuyou and often interacts with Rin and Itsuki in a teasing manner. She does not play a central role in the romantic storyline but remains a consistent presence in the group.

Her development is minimal; she stays largely the same throughout the series, maintaining her energetic, nosy, and friendly demeanor. As a half-demon, her only visible supernatural trait is her heterochromia; she lacks other demonic features such as long ears or magical powers. Her notable abilities lie in her sharp social instincts, negotiation skills, and ability to recall obscure facts, making her an effective information gatherer among her peers.
