TV-Series
Description
Akira Miyata is a student in class 1-D at the prestigious high school that serves as the primary setting for her series. She is known above all else for her extreme clumsiness, frequently tripping and falling at inopportune moments. This trait has made her highly sensitive about her lack of coordination, and she dislikes being defined solely by her accidents. In a notable contradiction to her perceived physical ineptitude, Akira is a member of the school's Intelligence Club. Her academic statistics, as referenced within the anime, reflect this unusual mix, scoring low in study, athletics, and cooking but rating highly in style. She has a distinctive physical appearance, characterized by her orange eyes and a very short, red buzz cut hairstyle, which is often pointed out as her most prominent or even redeeming feature.

Akira's role in the story is primarily as one of the many students in the chaotic and often surreal classroom. She is frequently seen and called upon alongside her classmate Yuzuko, with the two often being treated as a pair by their teacher, Hibiki. Her designated number is 002, though a brief contradiction in presentation is noted before being clarified. A key relationship is with her teacher, Tsurugi Inugami, who often refers to her with the nickname dojikko, a term for a stereotypically clumsy girl. Her sensitivity to her clumsiness is a recurring source of humor, though she leans into the joke as well. During the school festival, she discusses her membership in a club she calls the FALL Club, which stands for Funny Anecdotes and Laughable Lore, a clear reference to her own accident-prone nature. Another variation of this club name is given as the Falling Club. Despite her physical shortcomings, her position in the Intelligence Club suggests an unseen intellectual ability that serves as her primary motivation, even if it is rarely the focus. She does not undergo significant personal development or demonstrate any supernatural or extraordinary abilities, with her character remaining a consistent source of visual gags centered on her lack of grace.
