Mac, whose full name is Mike McField, is a childhood friend and classmate of Shu and Meg in the anime Legendz: Yomigaeru Ryūō Densetsu. He is designated as the Saga of Earth, meaning he is attuned to the earth element and later becomes the partner of the griffin Legendz Garion. Mac is an easygoing and gentle-natured boy with a very large, overweight build, weighing over one hundred kilograms. He has a deep, unwavering trust in Shu and is perceptive about the situations the group faces. A defining trait is his love for hamburgers, which he is almost always holding, and he has a verbal tic of adding something like nandana at the end of his sentences. Though usually calm, he can become fiercely angry if food is mistreated, momentarily pumping up his muscles to gain extraordinary physical strength, though this state does not last long. In the middle of the story, enemy Legendz target Mac, and he is forced to use his own body as a medium to forcibly reborn Garion, causing Garion to rampage uncontrollably. After a difficult process of separation and reconciliation with Garion, Mac gains the ability to reborn and command Garion by his own will. Before this separation, Mac possessed unusual abilities such as speaking prophetic-sounding words and sensing danger in a way similar to the Legendz themselves, but these abilities disappeared once he and Garion were no longer linked. Throughout the series, Mac evolves from a passive, food-loving bystander into a capable and willing partner of Garion, playing a crucial role alongside his friends in the conflicts that arise.
