Description
Tatsuomi Uesugi ranks among Hi no Moto's Five Grand Generals and commands the Uesugi Bushi as captain. He leads the Uesugi Alliance against the green Kishin Yamata no Orochi, rallying a massive bushi force at Harima port to retake Awaji Island.

Standing 1.87 meters tall with a muscular build, he bears long white dreadlocks reaching past his waist and sharp orange eyes. An eye patch covers his left eye, lost before the main events. His back and chest display an intricate dragon tattoo. In leisure, he wears a claret kimono and hakama marked with the Uesugi crest. For combat, he dons samurai armor and a jinbaori surcoat emblazoned with his clan's dragon motif.

His demeanor is fiercely strict, often compared to a hardened drinker. He approaches duties—especially Hi no Moto’s survival—with unyielding gravity. Bloodline and ancestry hold deep significance; he prays in a castle chamber housing his ancestors' skeletal remains. He shares a childhood-forged rivalry with Soma Date, focused on swordsmanship mastery, and a lifelong camaraderie with fellow Grand General Naotora Takeda. He disdains those who "can’t read the air" and admires women with sharp calculative skills.

In battle, he wields a Yellow Sword Soul. His primary weapon is the Kitetsu blade "Mantle of the War God," amplifying allies' strength and speed during combat.

A critical clash unfolds when Shiro Inukai and Inukawa Seiroku of the Obsidian Eight assault Uesugi castle. Tatsuomi seemingly falls against Shiro—blood cascades from the fortress, implying grave injury, though his body remains unseen. Shiro’s cryptic claim, "I took him," leaves Tatsuomi’s fate ambiguous, suggesting dimensional abduction or illusion rather than confirmed death. This deprives the Uesugi Alliance of leadership at a pivotal juncture.

His concept echoes historical daimyō Uesugi Kenshin: dragon motifs appear in Tatsuomi’s name kanji, tattoo, and Kenshin’s "Dragon of Echigo" epithet. Devotion to Bishamonten mirrors Kenshin’s practices, symbolized by a statue in Uesugi Bushi’s castle. Personal trivia notes his favorite foods as sukiyaki and cicada, his disliked food as strawberry, his hobby as fighting, and his preferred music as festival tunes.
