Description
Kamado Ueshita is the eighth owner of a future diary in the survival game. She is the matron of a children's orphanage named Mother's Home, located in the city of Sakurami. Her physical appearance is highly distinctive, characterized by an unusual and disproportionate body shape where her head is notably large in comparison to her short stature, giving her a unique silhouette among the cast.

Ueshita is defined by her profound motherly instincts and gentle, caring nature. She is portrayed as kind, polite, and deeply pacifistic, making her one of the most emotionally stable and least violent participants in the deadly game. Her primary motivation is not personal ambition or a desire to become the omnipotent god of time and space. Instead, she is driven by her love for the orphans under her care. She participates in the survival game primarily because the children who look up to her wish for her to win, believing she would use divine power to create a safer and happier world for all children.

In the story, Ueshita serves as a unique non-combatant whose power comes from her ability to create allies. She initially forms alliances with other diary holders but experiences a significant betrayal that leads to tragedy. When Yukiteru Amano, the first diary holder, turns on their alliance, her orphanage is destroyed by the eleventh holder, John Bacchus, and many of her children are killed. Despite this, she does not hold a deep grudge, and in her final moments, she asks Yukiteru to create a peaceful future for children. Her death comes at the hands of Yuno Gasai, who stabs her.

Her key relationships are primarily with the orphans she has raised. Notably, the seventh diary holders, Marco Ikusaba and Ai Mikami, are former orphans from Mother's Home and remain fiercely loyal to her, fighting as her primary protectors. She also forms a complex relationship with John Bacchus, who becomes both her enemy and, in a rewritten third world, her husband.

Ueshita's notable ability stems from her diary, known as the Blog Diary, Rentel Diary, or Proliferation Diary. Unlike standard future diaries which appear on a phone, her diary is a laptop computer she keeps hidden on her person. This diary cannot predict its owner's future. Instead, it functions as a server that can grant precognitive abilities to other people, turning them into sub-holders or apprentice diary users. These sub-diaries are roughly sixty percent as powerful as a true diary. While this allows Ueshita to create a potentially limitless army, the power has a critical weakness: the sub-diaries require a cellular signal to connect to her server to function, making them useless if the signal is jammed. A significant advantage of this power is that if a sub-diary is destroyed, its user does not die, which is a major departure from the rules governing the true future diaries.
