Description
Damure is a recurring character from the African team, Team Wild Fang, first appearing in the series Beyblade: Metal Masters. He is of African descent with dark skin, brown eyes, and black curly hair styled into an afro. His attire typically consists of a long red tribal coat that leaves his collarbone area exposed, a black band around his neck, long circular earrings, a gold headband, and a scarf with blue and golden ends. He also wears tan pants with blue designs, wrapped wristbands, and black boots with yellow coloring.
Damure's personality is defined by a lack of self-confidence, though he possesses a great deal of spirit and loyalty. Despite his modest self-view, he is known for being good and helpful to his friends, particularly his teammates. He is described as a living version of a performance computer due to his extraordinary eyesight, which allows him to read a Beyblade's performance and movements as if seeing them in slow motion. This keen kinetic vision is noted to be a result of him being born and raised on the African plains, giving him exceptional visual acuity that surpasses that of ordinary people. Damure first appears during the qualifying rounds to select members for the African national team for the Big Bang Bladers World Championship. In the preliminary battle royal, he is initially cheated out of a win by a blader named Marcus who uses dishonest tactics. However, after this setback, he uses his exceptional eyesight to locate Marcus and his allies, who had stolen the qualifying bracelets from Kyoya Tategami and Nile. By finding the thieves and revealing the weakness of Marcus's Beyblade, Damure proves his worth and is subsequently chosen by Kyoya to be the third official member of Team Wild Fang.
Within the team, Damure is often the third member, as Kyoya and Nile typically secure victories in their matches, leaving him less opportunity to battle. During the team's match against GanGan Galaxy, Damure participates in a tag battle alongside Benkei Hanawa, who is disguised as the Masked Bull, against Tsubasa Otori and Yu Tendo. In this battle, Damure utilizes his analytical vision to guide Benkei, using his partner's power to its maximum effectiveness by giving precise instructions based on his reading of the opponents' movements. But their strategy inadvertently causes Tsubasa to lose control of his dark power, which attacks all the Beys in the stadium and leads to Damure and Benkei's defeat.
After the World Championship concludes, Damure remains close friends with his former teammates. When a new threat emerges involving the Spiral Force in America, he travels with Kyoya, Nile, and Benkei to assist Gingka Hagane and his friends. He later participates in the battle to destroy the Spiral Force, helping to fight against members of Team Garcia and bladers from HD Academy. In the subsequent story arc, Damure appears again as an ally, traveling with Nile to help Gingka and the others search for Legendary Bladers who possess Star Fragments. He engages in battles against Johannes, Bao, and the Beylin Fist bladers, using his vision to analyze their opponents' movements. In the final battle against the god of destruction Nemesis, Damure contributes by lending the power of his Beyblade to support Gingka.
