Anzu Kadotani is the former student council president and later chairman of Ooarai Girls Academy. Standing 142 centimeters tall, she has light brown or chestnut hair styled in long twin ponytails secured by black ribbons, and brown or red-brown eyes. She is known for her fondness for dried sweet potatoes, often snacking on them during Sensha-do matches and daily activities. Her personality blends a cheerful, seemingly lazy demeanor with shrewd leadership, appearing relaxed and playful while secretly being a capable strategist fiercely dedicated to preserving Ooarai Academy. She initially pressured Miho Nishizumi into joining the Sensha-do team using ambiguous threats about the school's future, which later proved to be warnings of potential closure due to financial woes and low enrollment. As a first-year, Anzu was elected student council president alongside Momo Kawashima and Yuzu Koyama, and she spearheaded the revival of Ooarai's Sensha-do club to prevent the school from closing. She commands the Turtle Team, first in a Panzer 38(t) light tank as radio operator and occasional gunner, later upgrading to a Hetzer tank destroyer. During the semifinal against Pravda, she took direct control as gunner and destroyed two tanks before her own was disabled. In the film, after a renewed closure threat, she negotiated a written contract to defeat the All-Stars University Team and save Ooarai. In Das Finale, she dissolved the student council to form a new one and transitioned to academy chairman, applying to Shimofusadai National University alongside Yuzu. Anzu has exceptional luck, winning nearly fifty consecutive rounds of rock-paper-scissors, unexpected physical strength, and culinary skills including anglerfish hot pot. Her favorite tank is the T28 Super Heavy Tank, her favorite flower the sunflower, and her name means apricot. Her birthday is January 1st.
