In the anime Zillion, Dave serves as the chief mechanic and support pilot for the White Nuts, the task force armed with the powerful Zillion weapons. While the front-line combatants are the three primary marksmen, J.J., Champ, and Apple, Dave operates as the technical backbone of the team, responsible for maintaining and upgrading their equipment. His role extends to piloting the team's transport vehicle, the Big Porter, a vertical take-off and landing craft used to deploy the team on their missions.
Beyond his mechanical duties, Dave possesses notable technical expertise, having designed and built the Trichanger, a motorcycle that transforms into a flying armor suit used by the White Nuts.
