Lala is one of the Little Twin Stars and the older twin sister of Kiki. She and her brother were born on the Star of Compassion in the Dream Star Cloud, and with the blessing of Mother-Star and Father-Star, they traveled to Earth to learn how to become brilliant stars and spread happiness. Lala is depicted with pink hair and carries a magical star wand that guided their journey. Her personality is gentle and somewhat timid; she cries easily and tends to worry about her younger brother, especially when his curiosity leads him into risky situations. She loves drawing and writing poetry, and she is an excellent cook, particularly known for her soups. In the Hello Kitty anime, Lala and Kiki appear as recurring supporting characters, using their magic to teach Hello Kitty and her friends various lessons. Lala’s primary motivation is to bring joy to others and to care for her brother, with whom she shares an inseparable bond. Kiki often tries to protect her, but she also looks out for him. Her character remains consistently kind and nurturing throughout the series, with little notable development. Lala possesses magical abilities through her star wand, and together with Kiki, she can fly on a giant star and create animals out of clouds.
