Description
Lala is a Dullahan, a type of mythical headless being, and she becomes the seventh monster girl to reside in Kimihito Kurusu’s household. She first appears in the manga in Chapter 22, initially claiming that she has come only to warn Kimihito of his impending death, but she eventually admits she is the second Dullahan to seek shelter with him. After a series of comedic misunderstandings, she promises to behave and does her best to integrate into the group.

Physically, Lala has pale blue skin and long white hair that reaches her back, with a distinctive ahoge that curves upward like a scythe. Her birthday is December 25, and she stands 158 centimeters tall. Like all Dullahans, she can detach her head from her body and carry it, though her headless body sometimes acts with a more emotional and honest personality than her usual reserved self.

In terms of personality, Lala is stoic, gloomy, and blunt, often speaking in cold, detached tones. She suffers from chuunibyou, frequently referring to herself as Death Incarnate or the Huntress of Death and calling humans mortals. Despite this dramatic exterior, she is actually shy, gentle, and easily flustered, especially around crowds and children. She struggles with basic communication and is clumsy in social situations. Her dramatic posturing is a cover for her introverted and insecure nature.

Lala is motivated by a sense of duty as a Dullahan, taking her supernatural role seriously, but she also genuinely wishes to find a place where she belongs. Her initial reluctance to join the household gradually gives way to a desire to fit in, though her morbid talk and awkward behavior often create friction with the other girls.

Her role in the story is that of a late addition to the harem, whose presence adds both supernatural flair and comedic tension. She forms relationships with the other residents, particularly those who are patient with her quirks. She has a soft spot for children but cannot interact with them easily. Over the course of the series, she slowly opens up and becomes more comfortable in her daily life, though her development is often played for humor.

Notable abilities include the power to separate her head from her body and reattach it at will, as well as riding a motorcycle styled after a horse. Unlike many of the other monster girls, she has human-like legs, which allows her to wear ordinary clothing such as pantyhose. Her overall presence blends eerie reaper imagery with endearing clumsiness.
