Description
Hajime Sokotani endured a life of poverty, social rejection, and profound isolation, his unattractive appearance—marked by crooked teeth, chapped lips, and facial blemishes—deepening his ostracization. Selected as a God candidate by the angel Balta after his mother's suicide, Balta bestowed angelic abilities upon him.

Using this power, Sokotani underwent extensive plastic surgery, emerging with a conventionally attractive face featuring green hair, pink bangs, and refined features. He adopted a distinctive style of draped fabrics, a purple tank top, white tights, knee pads, and grey sandals. Despite his physical transformation, years of isolation left him socially inept, his poor interpersonal skills continuing to repel others and fuel his despair.

Psychologically fragile, Sokotani idolized Kanade Uryu (Metropoliman), another ruthless God candidate. Desperate for acceptance, he offered to serve as Kanade's subordinate. Kanade agreed, demanding Sokotani capture another God candidate to prove his worth.

Acting on Kanade's orders, Sokotani abducted Aya and Nanaka Mukaido—wife and daughter of God candidate Nanato Mukaido—within an amusement park house of mirrors. He used them as bait to lure Nanato and his ally Mirai Kakehashi into a trap, aiming to kill both candidates. During the confrontation, he wielded bladed weapons skillfully and dodged gunfire with agile, high-speed mobility granted by his angelic wings. He demonstrated ruthless commitment by slashing apart Nanaka's future wedding dress.

Sokotani succeeded in capturing Nanato and Mirai. However, his plan failed when God candidate Saki Hanakago intervened, striking him with her Red Arrow. This compelled him to fall in love with Saki for 33 days, neutralizing him as a threat and ending his role in the conflict.
