Description
Jezby initially presents as a vulnerable girl attacked by monsters, rescued by the heroes and brought to Zagroth village. This facade establishes her as a sympathetic figure needing protection to fulfill the sixth quest. Her true nature, however, is revealed as a Dragon Bishop orchestrating events from the shadows. She confesses to manipulating the heroes solely to locate a hidden village essential for her ritual. Her deception included feigning victimhood while secretly controlling the monster attacks that ravaged Zagroth, forcing villagers to flee.
Her infiltration involved posing as a sanctuary seeker while actually searching for the ritual site. Jezby's manipulations directly caused the village chief to enact harsh policies like the "Journey of Hope"—a deceptive exile program under the pretense of finding "New Eden" but designed to reduce the population during resource scarcity, resulting in significant villager suffering and loss. She further weakened the community by infecting villagers, including the chief's granddaughter Iris, with wireworms.
Glenda deduces Jezby's true identity, leading to a confrontation where Jezby admits her role in the village's downfall and the infestations. She views the heroes as expendable tools to advance her ritual, demonstrating ruthless disregard for others. During the final battle, Jezby exhibits martyr-like resolve, prepared to die for her cause. The heroes intervene to stop her ritual, defeating and subduing her without killing her, concluding her arc and the quest, enabling the heroes' return. Her motivations align with the Dragon Bishops' overarching plan to revive a dragon, posing a threat to both the fantasy world and Tokyo in a potential future vision.
