TV-Series
Description
Gloria is a central member of the Nereids, a private security and odd-jobs agency operating in a future world largely submerged by water. She serves as the group's weapons specialist and champion marksman, often taking the most aggressive role in combat situations.

In terms of her background, Gloria joined the Nereids after a pre-series incident where she became separated from the team during a raid on a criminal hideout. The separation occurred because the bag of gold she was carrying ripped, and she harbors a grudge against the team's leader, Rena, whom she blames for abandoning her at that time. Her return to the agency is driven primarily by a desire to collect the paycheck she believes she is owed from that failed mission.

Gloria's personality is loud, spontaneous, and tomboyish, with a very short temper and a reckless approach to nearly every situation. She is defined by her love of money and an almost obsessive enthusiasm for using her firearms, often prioritizing shooting over more subtle or diplomatic solutions. Her focus is easily distracted by anything involving payment or the chance to fire her weapons, and she demonstrates little concern for the property damage or chaos her actions cause. Her primary motivation is financial gain, and she frequently bothers Rena about the money she believes she is owed. Despite this mercenary exterior, a glimpse of a deeper motivation is revealed during a medical scare when she believes she is dying; in that moment, her greatest wish is to find true love, suggesting a hidden vulnerability beneath her abrasive surface.

Within the story of the Nereids, Gloria acts as a volatile but highly effective enforcer. She contrasts sharply with the more level-headed and close-quarters specialist Yu, with whom she has a notably tense relationship and often does not get along. Her relationship with the protagonist, Maia, is that of a senior agent who, while harsh and often bullying, also takes on a role similar to a rough older sister. Her most significant relationship is with Rena, driven by mutual distrust stemming from their past conflict, yet she remains a functional, if grudging, member of Rena's team. She is also noted to be the only Nereid who never wears a regular civilian outfit, consistently remaining in her work attire.

Throughout the series, Gloria shows limited but noticeable development. While she never loses her core aggressive and money-focused traits, moments like the false cancer diagnosis reveal that her desires are not purely transactional. Her role in the team becomes more settled as she integrates with newer members like Maia, though her fundamental nature as a "trigger-happy psychopath" remains a constant source of both comedy and conflict for the group.

Gloria possesses several notable abilities that make her a valuable asset to the Nereids. She is a highly proficient marksman and a champion sniper, with one teammate even stating this skill is her only value to the team. Unlike some of her colleagues who use futuristic energy weapons, Gloria prefers conventional firearms, notably a Heckler & Koch USP pistol and a PSG-1 sniper rifle. She also has a penchant for disproportionate firepower, often carrying a rocket launcher that is taller than she is. Her physical capabilities are focused entirely on ranged combat and handling heavy weaponry, and she approaches every mission with a "more dakka" philosophy, believing that any problem can be solved by shooting it with a full magazine of ammunition.
